This is a unique opportunity for a motivated future business leader to join the dynamic entrepreneurial team representing Carlisle SynTec, Drexel Metals, Carlisle Roof Foam and Coatings, and other commercial roofing products within the Chicagoland market.  In a fast-paced and competitive environment, this individual will be focused on building relationships with licensed applicators, distribution partners, building owners, and other critical decision-makers in the construction industry. The role demands start-to-finish engagement to capture high volume, pull-through opportunities, growth, and success.  

The ideal candidate possesses a measurable track record demonstrating 1-2 years of incremental impact on sales volumes within a competitive market segment, preferably the construction industry. This position reports to the Chicago Market Managing Partner

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide best-in-class service to current customer accounts while consistently presenting new products and opportunities.
  • Develop new business through a consultative sales approach with our exclusive product line to contractors, distribution partners, building owners, and other key decision-makers. 
  • Network with industry contacts.
  • Identify customer opportunities wherein new installation techniques and products present a reasonable and effective value-add solution.
  • Partner with manufacturers to fulfill customer sample requests, literature needs, and documentation necessary to meet a given project specification.
  • Effectively balance “hunting” and “farming” sales strategies in order to exceed sales targets.
  • Actively participate in key organizations within our industry. Attend regular meetings and events while seeking opportunities to volunteer for leadership roles.
  • Travel to customer sites for project discussions, field installations, field support, and/or post-installation wrap-ups. (Limited to Chicagoland).
  • Log/update contacts and upcoming projects in CRM.
  • Work with the manufacturers’ pricing teams to provide accurate competitive intel and feedback. Utilize price guidance to generate competitive quotes as needed.
  • Interact with market stakeholders and capture voice-of-customer insights to share with manufacturing partners.
  • Assist with trade show product and booth assembly/staffing for shows and other events.


Qualifications:
 

  • 4-year degree; BA/BS. Equivalent work experience in a similar position will be considered.
  • Experience in Sales/Marketing within the construction industry is preferred.
  • Demonstrated a history of impactful sales success.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; experience with CRM and other project management tools.
  • Strong Analytical/Technical Acumen.
  • Solid work ethic; “hand’s on” and “in the trenches”.

This position will build relationships serving as the primary liaison between Chicago’s design community and the manufacturers’ technical teams, as well as our agency.

The ideal candidate possesses commercial roofing technical knowledge including the ability to read blueprints and specifications. Preferred applicants will be results-driven individuals who can work both autonomously and collaboratively. Candidates should be comfortable public speakers who can present confidently and competently to small and midsize learning groups. This positive-minded, high-energy individual will interact with a diverse customer base including top corporate leadership. Candidates should expect to be involved in diverse activities as required of small businesses including planning, reporting, development, sales, and other administrative duties as well.

Inside Sales / Estimating Specialist – Job Description - 
January 2023:
 

AAdvanced Building Products, LLC of Indiana has an immediate opening for an Inside Sales / Estimating Specialist.

This is a unique opportunity for a motivated future business leader to join the dynamic entrepreneurial team representing Carlisle SynTec, Drexel Metals, Carlisle Roof Foam and Coatings, and other commercial roofing products. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in Auto-CAD, estimating software, pricing support programs, and Microsoft Office suites, and able to read and interpret construction documents/blueprints with an emphasis on commercial roofing. This position also involves construction project tracking and information mining from various sources, specification reading, creating Auto-CAD drawings for commercial roofing projects. If you have knowledge of metal roofing and/or commercial roofing this is a plus.

Preferred applicants will be results-driven individuals and able to work both autonomously and collaboratively. Candidates should be positive-minded with high energy. Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret construction documents/blueprints with an emphasis on commercial roofing, metal products, skylights, etc.
  • Submit a request for substitutions when products represented are not listed.
  • Scan and develop tapered insulation designs for various roofing projects.
  • Work collaboratively with AAdvanced Team members to achieve best practices.
  • Work with external partners; Roofing Contractors, Architects, Consultants, Engineers, and other applicable vendors to bid on projects and assess project costs.
  • Track construction projects to assist the sales team in bidding and securing projects.
  • Generate reports as needed.
  • Check on quoted projects and award status with customers.
  • Assist customers with submittals and technical assembly letters.
  • Gain knowledge of Carlisle roofing products, assemblies, systems, etc.

Qualifications: 

  • 4 Year Degree; Architecture, Design, Construction Management, or Trade School Certificate
  • 1-3 years in with the construction of commercial roofing tapered insulation systems.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and MS Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks involving complex and varying problems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven attention to detail.
  • Organized
  • Punctual
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and a registered/insured vehicle.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
